Is your CTE lab a safe and productive learning environment? In this
session we will share information about personal safety, communication, and setting program expectations. We will also share
information on how to protect yourself and discuss various resources available to help you establish a solid safety foundation in your CTE program. 1.Non-negligence in the CTE program – Safety expectations and communication w/ students and parents.
2.Protecting the students and the Teacher – Lab safety tests, PPE, proper use of tools/machines, teacher association.
3.Networking with local and outside resources – District colleagues, TIVA network, school counselors and admin,
industry guest speakers, practicum/work program
